Iowa C.O.P.S. Night
Hawkeye Downs is honored to host Iowa Concerns of Police Survivors on Saturday July 12th, as we go #RacingForACause! Iowa Concerns of Police Survivors (better known as C.O.P.S.) provides resources to assist in the rebuilding of the lives of surviving families and affected co-workers of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty as determined by Federal criteria. Iowa C.O.P.S. provides training to law enforcement agencies on survivor victimization issues and educates the public on the need to provide ongoing support to the law enforcement profession and its survivors.
50/50 RAFFLE FOR A CAUSE
Proceeds of the 50/50 raffle will benefit Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa in honor of Keith Fleck.
The Miller 100 is known locally for supporting charitable causes. Over its history, the race has raised over $300,000 for various charities, thanks to the efforts of the Fleck family. The upcoming Miller 100 will continue this philanthropic tradition in honor of Keith Fleck. The race's return aims to honor this rich legacy built in Cedar Rapids and celebrate the centennial milestone.
