NASCAR Local Racing Series Launch Day Celebration
Saturday, April 18th | 10:00AM
Join us for the kick-off to the 101st racing season at Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Saturday, April 18th! This special event is FREE ADMISSION for fans of all ages.
Hawkeye Downs will host its ribbon-cutting at 10:00am in Victory Lane on the track with O’Reilly Auto Parts.
Visit all of your favorite Hawkeye Downs racers in the pits until noon. You can check out their 2026 cars before they hit the track for “Test and Tune” practice laps and learn more about the upcoming NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series at Hawkeye Downs. Fans can watch the practice laps from the grandstand.

Made in Iowa Spring Market
Saturday, April 18th & Sunday, April 19th | 9:00AM-3:00PM
Discover a wide variety of handmade goods, delicious treats, unique crafts, and one-of-a-kind art from talented local makers, bakers, crafters, and artists at Made In Iowa Spring Market - just in time for Mother’s Day!
Admission is $5 at the door. Children 12 and under are FREE. Join the market on Saturday and return on Sunday for free with a handstamp! Be sure to shop with $5 pink lemonade mimosas in hand and enjoy live music!
Racing at Hawkeye Downs
For the last 100 years, Hawkeye Downs Speedway has been home to one of the most popular race tracks in Iowa. The track features ¼ mile and ½ mile banked asphalt ovals for weekly stock car racing, enduros, street drags, drifting expos, and more. Hosting Events at Hawkeye Downs Expo Center
From trade shows to annual meetings to auctions to weddings and beyond, the Expo Center is perfect for any event. Hawkeye Downs offers an event space with over 35,000 total square feet of temperature-controlled space for hosting events of all sizes. The Expo Center is located strategically near the highway with access to a variety of hotels and attracts over 100,000 visitors annually.
