SAVE THE DATE! It’s time for the launch of the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts with Hawkeye Downs Speedway! 

Join us for the kick-off to the 101st racing season at Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Saturday, April 18th! This special event is FREE ADMISSION for fans of all ages.

Hawkeye Downs will host its ribbon-cutting at 10:00am in Victory Lane on the track with O’Reilly Auto Parts. 

Visit all of your favorite Hawkeye Downs racers in the pits until noon. You can check out their 2026 cars before they hit the track for “Test and Tune” practice laps and learn more about the upcoming NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Racing Series at Hawkeye Downs. Fans can watch the practice laps from the grandstand. 

There will be fun for the kids, including a temporary tattoo station, a crafts and coloring station, a selfie station, and more! 

Concessions will be available at the track with a limited menu.

INFORMATION FOR RACERS

In an effort to make our 2026 racing program the most memorable season yet, we will be taking pictures on Saturday, April 18th, at the car show and practice. These photos will be sent to the publisher so that this year’s program reflects current cars. 

If you are in attendance for the car show, your practice session will be FREE. If you cannot attend the car show but you’re still interested in the practice, the cost is $25.
