MARK YOUR CALENDARS: Chew on This at Hawkeye Downs with The History Center returns on Tuesday, July 22nd!

2025 marks the 100-year anniversary of continuous operation for Hawkeye Downs as a racetrack! Join us AT Hawkeye Down for a special ENCORE edition of Chew on This. We’ll take you on a journey through the rich history of this iconic venue, which has played a central role in Cedar Rapids’ sporting and cultural landscape.

Hawkeye Downs is offering a $10 meal deal (burger or hot dog with chips and a drink) in the concessions stand at the Expo Center during the event. In addition, all guests will receive free admission at the track for the Tuesday Night Titans racing program! Stick around after the presentation for the race!

Admission is $8.00 for general public and $6.00 for member of The History Center
