2024 Enduro Racing: Cross-State Enduro Challenge with Grundy County Speedway

Hawkeye Downs Speedway, in conjunction with Grundy County Speedway, is happy to announce the Cross-State Enduro Challenge for the 2024 racing season.

As enduro racing is growing in popularity across the Midwest, race directors at Hawkeye Downs Speedway and Grundy County Speedway have developed a new program that encourages teams to support each other. In recent years, race directors have seen racing teams at both tracks. With this new enduro points program, this fun has just begun between racers across the Midwest!

“The Challenge” will be an eight-enduro race series with four races on each track. The finishing position will be based on how many laps are completed in each event. The point system will be 100-99-98, etc., for each race. Drivers who run all eight races will get a bonus of 100 points after the final race of the season in October at Grundy County Speedway.

Races included in “The Challenge” are as follows at each track:

  • Sunday, April 21st - Hawkeye Downs Speedway

  • Saturday, May 11th - Grundy County Speedway

  • Sunday, June 30th - Hawkeye Downs Speedway

  • Sunday, July 7th - Grundy County Speedway

  • Saturday, August 10th - Hawkeye Downs Speedway

  • Saturday, August 31st - Grundy County Speedway

  • Saturday, September 14th - Hawkeye Downs Speedway (SATURDAY ONLY)

  • Saturday, October 19th - Grundy County Speedway

The top three drivers in points will be honored at their respective track’s banquet with a trophy and point fund money. The top three in points will get the following payout at the banquet:

  • 1st Place: $500

  • 2nd Place: $300

  • 3rd Place: $200

NOW SEEKING SPONSORS FOR THE CHALLENGE

Race directors at both Hawkeye Downs Speedway and Grundy County Speedway are pursuing sponsorship for “The Challenge” in hopes of growing the point fund and potentially paying out further down the standings.

If you, your business, or your organization are interested in supporting “The Challenge”, please contact Brian Gibson at Hawkeye Downs Speedway via email. Any additional questions can also be directed to Gibson.

Thank you to the racers for supporting Hawkeye Downs Speedway and Grundy County Speedway. Now, let’s go racing!
