Hawkeye Downs’ Miller 100 Presented by Van Meter Returns on July 12th

Hawkeye Downs revives the Miller 100 race for its 40th appearance with support from the Fleck family, Van Meter

(Cedar Rapids, IA) – As Hawkeye Downs Speedway marks its 100th year of racing in Eastern Iowa, the iconic Miller 100 will make its much-anticipated return on Saturday, July 12, 2025, as part of the ASA Midwest Tour!

Fans will enjoy the 2025 ASA Midwest Tour stop, which will bring super late models to the track. The evening’s feature race will be complemented by the Midwest Legends Asphalt Series and HD Dawgs to reflect the rich history and inspiring future of Hawkeye Downs. In 2025, the Miller 100 is proudly presented by Van Meter.

“Van Meter is excited to be back at Hawkeye Downs supporting the Miller 100,” shares Danielle Monthei, Marketing Program Manager at Van Meter. “Many of our employee-owners enjoy a night at the races, and supporting our neighbor down the road is something we appreciate so much!”

Since 1973, Hawkeye Downs has been the official host of this famed 100-lap racing event. Over the decades, Hawkeye Downs has partnered with the Fleck family to support the race and its history of charitable giving. The race has raised over $300,000 for various charities in its nearly 40 years of racing. In 2025, the proceeds of the 50/50 raffle will benefit Variety - the Children's Charity of Iowa, continuing this philanthropic tradition in honor of Keith Fleck.

“We are happy to welcome the volunteers with Variety to the races,” says Brian Gibson, Hawkeye Downs Race Director. “When Hawkeye Downs can partner with other nonprofits to make a bigger impact, it makes the racing experience just that much more special.”

In addition to the Miller 100, the centennial celebration of racing in 2025 will commemorate the history of racing over the decades. This includes, but is not limited to, special racing events from regional and national racing series, special “Dirt at the Downs” dirt track events in September and October, the Decades of Speed Vintage Car Show opening July 18th, and a jam-packed schedule of exciting entertainment both inside and outside the race track, designed to engage the community and celebrate the history of Hawkeye Downs. The 2025 racing schedule is live on the Hawkeye Downs website, with special race night activities yet to be announced for July and August NASCAR Regional race nights. Fans are encouraged to stay tuned for updates on Facebook and Instagram to plan their participation in this once-in-a-lifetime celebration.
