WEATHER UPDATE: June 5th Racing Program with Big 8 Series Canceled

WEATHER UPDATE 4:00PM 6/4/26: With the pending severe weather threat for Eastern Iowa on Friday, June 5th, our Hawkeye Downs staff has made the difficult decision to cancel the scheduled racing program for Friday night.

As the Big 8 Series is a traveling series, we have to respect the racers’ time and financial commitment to the racing program. The Big 8 Late Models will return to Hawkeye Downs Speedway on Saturday, July 18th.

We will see all of our racing fans at this Sunday’s 75-lap Enduro, then again next SATURDAY, June 13th, for the Mid-Am Racing Series visit at Hawkeye Downs! Follow along on Facebook for event updates. Thank you for your continued support of our racing community!
