The Gazette: Record-setting driver Michael Bilderback wins Big 8 at Hawkeye Downs

CEDAR RAPIDS — It was another fruitful trip to Cedar Rapids for Michael Bilderback.

Bilderback, of South Beloit, Ill., jumped to an early lead in a 12-car field and survived a late caution to take the checkered flag in Saturday’s 48-lap Big 8 Late Models Series race at Hawkeye Downs Speedway.

It was his second Big 8 win of the 2026 season and his second Series win at HD — first since 2016.
