Hawkeye Downs Speedway Introduces “Juice Box” Racing Class to Tuesday Night Titans Lineup for Ages Six and Under

(Cedar Rapids, IA) – Hawkeye Downs Speedway is expanding its grassroots racing opportunities in 2026 with the addition of a brand-new “Juice Box” racing class as part of its popular Tuesday Night Titans program.

Designed for children ages six and younger, the Juice Box class creates an exciting and approachable entry point for the next generation of racers. Participants will compete in Radio Flyer Ultimate Go-Karts, offering a safe, fun, and memorable first experience on the track.

Tuesday Night Titans has become a cornerstone of Hawkeye Downs’ commitment to accessible racing, featuring go-kart competition that allows drivers of all ages to begin their racing journey at a lower cost and with a supportive, community-focused atmosphere.

“The addition of Juice Box racing is all about creating that first spark,” shared Brian Gibson, Race Director at Hawkeye Downs Speedway. “We want kids to experience the thrill of racing in a way that’s fun and safe while giving families an easy way to get involved in motorsports.”

The Juice Box class is structured to serve as a starting point for young drivers. Once a participant advances into a standard kart racing class, they will no longer be eligible to compete in Juice Box racing, ensuring a clear developmental path within the program.

The Radio Flyer 24-Volt Ultimate Go Kart is the only kart allowed to compete in the Juice Box class. These are widely accessible and can be purchased through major retailers, including Amazon, Walmart, and directly from Radio Flyer.

The Tuesday Night Titans program continues to grow in popularity, attracting families, first-time racers, and seasoned competitors alike. With the addition of the Juice Box class, Hawkeye Downs further strengthens its role as a launching pad for racing careers in Eastern Iowa.

Tuesday Night Titans will race on June 2nd, 16th, and 23rd, July 21st, and August 4th and 18th. For more information about Tuesday Night Titans, Juice Box racing, or how to get involved, visit www.hawkeyedowns.org/titans.
